Born in Umuahia to a humble single mother, Jerry Eze’s childhood was marked by financial lack. He often credits these early struggles as the foundation of his deep prayer life. He attended Ibeku High School before his university education. Growing up in a poverty-stricken home where food was often scarce, his mother instilled in him a relentless spirit of prayer that would later define his global ministry.
After working as a communications specialist for the World Bank and the United Nations, he founded Streams of Joy International in 2013. However, his global breakthrough came in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic via the launch of NSPPD (New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations). This digital altar became the world’s most-watched digital prayer platform, breaking YouTube records for live viewership in the religious category and amassing over 100 million watch hours by 2025.
As of 2026, he remains one of the most influential African ministers with a global reach. His ‘NSPPD’ platform consistently ranks among the top 3 most-watched non-gaming live streams on YouTube worldwide. Beyond digital ministry, his physical conferences, such as the UK Prayer Conference at Twickenham Stadium, have drawn over 80,000 attendees, demonstrating a unique blend of digital and physical influence that has revolutionized modern evangelism.
